Just a couple days ago Priceline had their INFAMOUS 50% off Cosmetics sale… I started to make a mental list of new products I wanted to try but I very quickly started to worry about what I would be doing to my bank balance. So I decided this was the right time to transition to cruelty free!
Don’t get me wrong, it has been on my mind for some time now. I was vegan for a year and have been vegetarian for two, so it seemed like a pretty straight forward step in the right direction. This instantly cut down the brands I could splurge on and lets be real, it felt better to not put my money into supporting testing on animals.
I feel like I need to mention that napoleon was not a full 50% off, only 30%.
The sale also excluded Revolution ( But its new!! and so cheap already!!) and essence, but apparently that didn’t stop me.
Covergirl Outlast Active Setting Spray –
I actually haven’t had a chance to blog about this setting spray, but it is my current favourite! It’s a lot more lightweight compared to Rimmel Insta fix and go, ( used to be my all time fav ) but performs really well. I love to use setting sprays after every base layer to ensure it all settles into my skin and doesn’t look heavy.
Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Matte and Pore Primer –
I went a bit wild on the Napoleon products this sale and I am so excited to try this primer. I used to swear by those smoothing silicon based primers but recently I’ve been using those that have a moisturiser texture, which they work great, but when my skin breaks out I prefer the smooth finish.
Revolution Super Size Concealer –
Since this brand launched in Priceline everyone has been loosing their f**king minds over this concealer and the matching foundation. I opted in buying just the concealer as I tend to gravitate to more lightweight foundations but I’m a fool for a good concealer. I wanted to see what it was all about!
Innoxa CC Cream –
When it comes to the brand Innoxa I always admire their products from afar. This mostly being because they come up with some great formulas but their price point is always so high for a pharmacy brand. So luckily the sale came around so I can finally try things for myself! This CC is supposed to be very similar to the It Cosmetics CC cream which… I haven’t tried but this should do the trick.
Australis Strawberries and Dreams Blush –
When I think cruelty free, Australis is ALWAYS what comes to my mind first. And this blush is such a pretty formula and surprisingly isn’t chalky at all considering it is MATTE. Can’t wait to try this out!
Australis Sweet Like Chocolate Bronzer –
I thought I would also try the Bronzer from their Scented Range! I’ll have to give this one a good chance because although it smells delicious, it swatches a little patchy.
Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit in Ultra Fair-
The contour colour in this caught my eye as it looks like the most perfect tone for sculpting! Plus the highlight looks so radiant, my fingers are crossed and I hope the formula lives up to my expectations.
Innoxa Blush in Coral Lily –
I have been recommending this shade of blush to everyone but had never actually tried it myself! I know I’m going to love it already, it is the perfect balance of pink and coral.
Napoleon Perdis Camera Finish Translucent Powder –
Look, I can be quite lazy when doing my makeup. Sometimes so lazy that the thought of opening a loose setting powder and trying not to get it everywhere is just too much haha! So I wanted to try this powder for those days when I just want a quick set and blot, BUT this would also be the most perfect touch up powder for the handbag you feel??
Revolution Jewel Jelly Highlighter –
OH MYYYY this product!!! I tried it on the back of my hand so many times because first of all, the jelly texture is so fun. But it also does not move once it is set down! So this would not only add an intense glow on the face but it would work so well as a body glow.
Revolution Reloaded Palette in Iconic Division –
These shadows are not only stunning but the quality and performance is amazing! This palette has Subculture palette vibes, but better if I’m honest. I love that the shadows aren’t overly pigmented so that you have the freedom to wear the shades sheer or build the intensity. The peach and mustard yellow in the bottom left are the colours that I am swooning over the most!
Revolution Reloaded Palette in Passion for Colour –
This palette is so intriguing and I really love the layout, the colour story doesn’t make much sense but I think it is just full of staple brights! This has kind of inspired me to do something like 30 days of colour, as I have so many palettes to work from. Leave a comment if that would be something you’d like to see!
Napoleon Perdis Mesmer-Eyes Mascara in Brown Affair –
I really went all out on mascaras, this one caught my attention because of the funky comb-like wand.
Napoleon Perdis Knockout Lash –
This mascara has my favourite kind of rubber wand so I’m excited to see what its like.
Essense Maximum Definition Mascara –
I have never tried these mascaras before but one of the girls at my work was wearing an Essense mascara and I was like WOW. I needed to try them, I didn’t get the exact same one she used but I have to see if its worth the cheap price point.
Australis Skinny Mini Mascara –
Not only will this be AMAZING for bottom lashes but I cant wait to use it to comb my natural lashes into false lashes.
Ardell Pro Brow Sculpting Gel –
I’m on the hunt for the best clear brow gel. Currently, my favourite is the MAC clear brow gel and it’s doing me good but I want BETTER ahaha!
Revolution Duo Brow Definer in “Medium Brown” –
I have tried the Revolution Brow Pomade on people before and it is sooooo nice! But i’m not so much of a pomade girl so I opted to try the pencil.
Napoleon Perdis Devine Goddess in “Andromeda” –
This colour is quite a basic soft pink but the formula feels so moisturising I couldn’t pass it up. I used this one the other day but I also tapped it onto my cheeks and it looked so GOOD.
Nude By Nature Matte Lipstick in “Blush Nude” –
When these first came out I wanted all of them these colours! They swatch so matte and the pigment is out of this world so I thought I’d try a nude before I buy a whole range of colour.
Natio Paw Paw Lip Balm –
Whenever I’m at work I use the tester of this and it is honestly the best thing in the world. I never thought a paw paw balm would work so well but it really does.
Andalou Cannacell Glow Mask –
I was waiting for this range to go on sale for a long time because I felt the sample and it was so silky. I have a feeling this will be a favourite soon.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading!
