Back with my first empties of the year!
I don’t know what it is about empties but they are my favourite posts to read, I may just be extremely nosey but I hope others enjoy mine as much as I do.
Skin Republic Hydrate + Glow Vitamin C Mask-
This mask got a photo on its own because this product is out of this world and deserves it! I didn’t really expect too much as I’m sure I’ve shared my confusion with vitamin C as I never thought the ingredient does much for me. BUT I was wrong, I have never seen a mask show such instant results. My skin was super plump and glowy without looking/feeling greasy and I’ve never experienced that before. I would recommend this mask as the perfect pre-event skincare because I’m confident the glow will beam through your makeup.
Antipodes Vanilla Pod Day Cream –
I enjoyed this moisturiser in the beginning, but the more I used it the more I noticed the cons. I feel I should quickly mention that I have oily skin. I found the more I paid attention to how my skin looked with this product the more I realised it didn’t suit. I can’t sit here and say it’s a bad product I just think it is way too rich and heavy for me.
La Roche Posay HylauB5 Serum –
This product is wayyyyyy too overpriced. I think there are so many good hyaluronic acids on the market now and for $70 I do not think it did anything spectacular. The Ordinary or Indeed Labs have my favourite hyaluronic acids and they don’t even come close to that price point. It’s clear I won’t be repurchasing this.
Generation Clay Purifying Mask –
I was so surprised with this mask! I have to be honest I thought this one was just another overpriced pink clay mask that influencers overcompensate for, but it works wonders.
When my skin was feeling congested and blocked this was the perfect mask to clarify and clear out my pores without drying out my face and turning it to sandpaper. I’d love to repurchase it but I also haven’t been able to bring myself to pay $30.
Le Tan Gradual Tanning Lotion –
It’s no secret that I am a HUGE fan of gradual tan. It’s the most effortless way to add colour without having to worry about patchiness or an orange nightmare. This Le Tan one has been my favourite for over a year now as it is t h e most hydrating tan I have come across.
Bondi Sands Gradual Tan –
This is the first time I tried a product from Bondi and I really enjoyed it. I feel as though it is definitely the most natural tint of all the graduals I’ve tried and the smell is quite strong. But, I plan on giving it another go to see if it’s better than I remember.
Le Tan Clear Tan –
I could not finish this product AT ALL! I gave it a big old go but this tan is so hard to apply evenly because it is clear and when it fades it just looks so patchy and revolting. After two days of messy colour, it started to fade in a rash-like way which isn’t cute. I was not interested in finishing it.
Prada Candy Gloss –
It took me a little while to warm up to this fragrance but once I did I loved it. I would describe it as a citrus’ floral, with notes of peach, sour cherry and almond. Just by those notes alone, you can tell it’s quite unique but still sweet.
Thin Lizzy Beauty Sponge –
This is my favourite sponge and I have already repurchased it! I had to get rid of this one because it started to get a little bit feral haha. I always keep the container they come in because it is perfect for travel.
Thin Lizzy Flawless Foundation –
I really enjoyed this foundation and I think if you struggle with skin texture or have combo/oily skin this is perfect for you. The coverage is so smooth and airbrushes the complexion and if I didn’t want to keep trying new things I would buy it again.
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer –
I got the hype around this concealer at its peak as the coverage was incredible and we hadn’t really seen anything like it before. It is just a little dry though, and now I feel like we have a lot more concealers on the market with coverage just as good but with more of a comfortable hydrating finish!
Covergirl Outlast Active Setting Spray –
This is my current favourite setting spray as it’s super hydrating and helps settle my powder into my skin for a natural and long-lasting finish.
Laura Mercier Setting Powder
Mac Brow Pencil in “Tapered” –
This product is really good quality. It’s hard to describe this brow pencil as I feel like it just gets the job done!
C3E Liquid Liner –
This eyeliner lasted me forEVER! I loved the thin brush and it never flaked on me. I can say it is a really trusty liquid liner and was a good staple in my collection.
Covergirl Active Mascara –
This mascara was quite basic and I probably won’t repurchase it again. It was nice for a simple separated and lengthened lash look.
Becca Sunchaser Palette –
I decided it was time to get rid of this palette. Although I did love it so much, it is just so old. I clearly enjoyed the highlighter in this but I don’t think anyone would be surprised as Becca is almost renowned for this formula. It also introduced me to how delicate matte blushes look and finish off a makeup look. The bronzer was also quite good but I find it hard to get wear out of shimmer bronzers as I feel it can sometimes emphasize texture.
Hourglass Illume Cream Contour –
I was faced with the same decision with this product! I ADORE this formula so much, all three colours are so soft and blendable. I honestly feel like I’ve had this for over two years now and it’s honestly gone a little bit gross so I had to let it go, it wasn’t easy.
Thank you for reading and let me know your thoughts if you’ve tried any of these products.
