I wanted to make a Chrissy MOTD an annual tradition… GLITTER AND ALL
I think this Christmas party look is perfect for the busy time of year as in fact, I had to do a rush job and it still turned out GLAM.
Thin Lizzy Flawless Complexion Sponge-
For me, this sponge is HANDS DOWN the top of the market in the pharmacies. It expands to double the size and works almost identically to most beauty blenders, but better. It applies foundation and concealer effortlessly and what sets it apart from the rest is that I find it doesn’t completely suck up all the excess product.
Revlon Colourstay Foundation-
This is a new foundation for me! I had tried it in the past but that was way back when I had acne-prone skin and nothing I put on sat right. My friend passed it on to me as the colour was a little dark for her and so far I’m actually enjoying it. I find it’s best applied with a damp beauty sponge, as it sets down really quickly, so building coverage with a brush can get a little streaky. But I assume the quick-dry quality contributes to how it stays on all day long so I’m not too fussed about it.
NYX Total Control Foundation-
I mentioned this foundation in my Go-To Beauty for Travel, as I don’t think I can live without it haha! It is so much easier to drop some of this into my base products to alter the colour to match my tan than to buy and use a whole new foundation for every now and then.
Covergirl Outlast Active Setting Spray-
This is my current favourite setting spray as it does a 10/10 job at making my foundation and powder look fresh, sweat-resistant and last all day.
Stila Convertable Cheek and Lip Colour in “Petunia”-
This product is by no means a new release but it was new to me and I’m gonna go ahead and say my FAV cream blush of the year. I’m obsessed with blush and love to go overboard, I started bringing my blush onto the highpoints of my cheeks where highlighter should be with this product and I love the glossy finish it creates.
Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer-
I love this concealer for its full but not cakey coverage and use it as an eyeshadow base and under my eyes.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer-
I use this one almost all over my face to smooth over any breakouts, pores and textured areas.
Benefit Gimme Brow in Shade “4”
Revolution Brow Pencil in “Dark Brown”
Colourpop Supernova Shadow in “Rush Hour”-
I love this product! It is a Go-To for quick glam as I just messily apply it on the lid and then layer a similar bronze shimmer over the top, having it as a base makes the shadow look so much better and bold.
Revlon Colourstay Gleaming Shadow in “Spice”-
These are new from Revlon and SPECTACULAR. I struggled to find a liquid eyeshadow that has that beaming shine instead of chunky glitter. It’s exactly what I wanted for an inner corner highlight and to brighten up any eye look by tapping it in the centre.
NYX Loose Glitter in “Gold Stone”-
After messily laying down my bronze shadow I tapped this onto the centre of my lid and middle of my lower lash line.
Colourpop Amethyst Priming Spray-
Usually, when using glitter I would stick it down with lash glue. but I was feeling lazy and didn’t have time to fiddle around with glue. So I used this priming spray! Sure, it didn’t last as long as it would have with the glue but it still stayed well.
Tartlette “In Bloom” Palette-
This is ALSO a Go-To for fast glam. I used the mauve-pink as a transition shade for a bit of interest, rather than a warm nude. The bottom swatch is the Colourpop Supernova shadow with the shade “Firecracker” overtop!
Napoleon Perdis Camera Finish Powder in “N3”
Sephora Illuminating Powder in “Delicate Glow”-
This is hands down THE BEST highlighter out there! If you haven’t tried it please do, you won’t regret it.
Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in “Give Me Sun”
Milani Blush in “Luminoso”
Kiss Lashes in “Pageboy”-
These are my favourite lashes as they are super full and fluffy without the thick lash band! I want to be one of those ladies that have those chunky lashes but I have no patience for the THICC bands, so with this style, I can live my Insta Baddie dreams without being uncomfortable.
Essence Maximum Definition Mascara-
OH, MY G this mascara!!!!
There had been a lot of talk about essence mascaras being good despite the super cheap price tag. No one really talked about this one but I had to have it because the wand is the kind I L O V E and the formula is SO GOOD. The curl and separation is to die for and it’s only like $6.
NYX Lip Liner in “Dark Red”
NARS Lip Pigment in “Vain”
Essence Loose Glitter Stars-
I think these were limited edition but I adore them and add them to any look to spice it up! This one little silver star stood out next to all the bronze glitter.
Thank you for reading! 10 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS xx
