April really wasn’t a WILD MONTH,
I spent most of it horizontal petting my cat,
and that’s okay.
Although I don’t have much to show about my life, I am still going to come THRU with some content. I’m going to show you guys my FAVOURITE THINGS from the month of April as there are a few makeup and skincare bits that I just couldn’t get enough of.
Sephora Collection Shimmering Face Powder in “Delicate Glow” –
I picked this one up when Sephora had their Sephora Black Member Sale without knowing much about it AT ALL. And to be honest I’m not surprised this is A M A Z E because I feel like the Sephora Brand always gets their formulas right! It has the perfect balance of sheen and shimmer and I adore the glow. I’ll show a MOTD to show off the shine:
LUMA On The Glow Highlighter Sticks
“Cashmere Casba”– A pale champagne cream highlighter that adds THE GLOSSIEST sheen I’ve ever come across in pharmacy makeup brands! This is so pretty to use as a base for powder highlighter to make it super dooper intense or tapped on the skin with your fingers and a bit of bronze on a no-makeup makeup day.
“Blushed Nomad” – This rose gold blush stick is SO STUNNING! It is just the right balance of bronze and pink where I can apply it on the cheek and brush it up to my temples without looking like I fell out of the 80’s. I especially love this one when I don’t want to wear much makeup but I need to add some colour to my face.
Ardell Faux Mink “812” False Lashes –
These have been my favourite eyelashes since they were released! They are just the perfect length and curl for my eye shape and have volume without looking overly FAKE.
Napoleon Perdis Double Duty Lip Oil –
This is probably the most mundane (and overpriced) product to be OBSESSED with but it’s such an incredible lip oil that doesn’t have an incredibly greasy finish either. I do find it leaves a soft red touch of colour on my lips but by no means does the pigment separate or bunch, PLUS I love the strawberry scent.
Solal Vitamin C Serum –
I still haven’t quite figured out what exactly vitamin C does but I’ve found as the weather is getting colder my face feels SO DRY! In the morning I use this to help bring some life back and smooth out my complexion, it does some magical things to my skin that I don’t understand!
Manuka Doctor Illusionist Rapid Lift Mask
I’m really sad that this mask is a favourite of mine as I just googled it for this post and found out that it’s discontinued…. So I’ll keep this short and sweet and say that when I put it on before bed I wake up to baby soft skin.
Michael Todd Sonic Refresher Microdermabrasion System –
Okay THIS WAS A SPLURGE but it was absolutely worth it! I have always wanted to try microdermabrasion but I couldn’t commit to the prices and packages. So one day I was watching blackhead extracting compilations on Youtube (as you do) and I was like RIGHT I want in on this sh*t. So I waited till this was on sale and saved up my points at Priceline and got as good a deal that I could. I’ve been incorporating this into my routine once a month to clear out all my congestion and remove dead skin cells, and I always follow up with a Salicylic Acid to seal off the pores afterwards. It’s doing some crazy good stuff to my skin texture and gives me so much radiance.
Canon Powershot 60HS-
I bought this camera basically brand new off my best friend and it was ABOUT TIME I got a new one. The old camera I was using was my sisters G7x that I was ‘borrowing’, but the lens had a scratch right in the centre and for it to take focused photos was a challenge. I’ve been having so much fun playing around with this camera and it’s making me more inspired with blog post photos.
When it comes to music I was mostly listening to artists in preparation for the festival Groovin the Moo. I’ve adored MO for a long time now and listened to Duckwrth for the first time.
That’s my first favourites post DONE!
I hope you enjoyed reading and I think I’ll continue to do this when my month’s are a little less extravagant haha!
