A Week in Lipsticks: First Impressions from Sephora

As a follow up from my Sephora HURRLLL I had to do a week in lipsticks to let everyone know my thoughts and feelings!!! Because everybody asked me for it duhhhhh (everybody being nobody).

Fenty Gloss Bomb in “Fenty Glow” –

I was definitely caught off guard when I first put this on my lips as I didn’t even notice it even had glitter in it! and it just looks so FRESH. I included two LEWKS as I had to pull off a nice day to night makeup transition, and with the ray of colours to choose from this lippy was easy to tie in with any makeup I did. It is still that lip colour for me day to day, easy to apply in any situation and it looks stunning!

Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Lipstick in “Single” –

I love the colour of this lipstick but I’m still trying to learn the love language for this formula. It is a creamy matte but I just FEEEEELLLLLLLL like its so THICK! This shows in the way it lasts, I thought it was strange to see bleeding on a nude shade like this, I feel like it would sit incredibly well if it had a matching lip liner but I shouldn’t have to need one. And the lasting power is pretty poor as well,  it just completely comes off.
I have been applying it with a lip brush over full lip liner to give it another chance and I find it sits better with that process.

Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Lipstick in “Freckle Fiesta” –

The SITUATION with this is very similar to that of “Single”. I fell ass over tit in love with this RICH RUSTY ORANGE and couldn’t wait to try it. I ran into the same issues with this lippy and the fading and bleeding was more intense as the colour is wildly pigmented.

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in “Uncensored” –

I’ve used this so many times now! Not only is it a perfect red it sets on the lips in such a light feathery way. The consistency is similar to a lip oil which is BIZARRE and scary for a red lipstick but it truly lasts effortlessly.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in “Radish” –

I CANNOT DEAL WITH THIS SHADE!!! I have never had a BITE lippy in my collection before but this colour just steals my god damn SOUL. It’s a very moisturising lipstick and so rich in pigment, and I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say about this product which speaks for itself!!

Thank you for reading my week in lipsticks xxxx

  1. I absolutely love the “Freckle Fiesta” shade but it’s so sad to hear that you have issues with it! I always go for rusty/orange shades if I have the change and I would highly recommend the ‘Les Chocolats’ collection from L’oréal. They have very similar beautiful shades and they stay on like crazy. I even have a hard time taking them of in the evening. They are real winners for me. ☺️
