Makeup of The Day: Christmas Edition

With Christmas a WEEK AWAY, Christmas party season is officially here! This year I’m hosting my own little Xmas dinner at my house and I am SO keen on a nice cheese platter and some naughty Santa!! I’m not going to do a makeup of the day for that as I’d have a whole day of cooking ahead of me, so here’s what I wore to my work dinner.

What I Wore

Smashbox Photo finish Primer-
I’m currently trying to use up this primer so it doesn’t go to waste. I’m not the biggest fan of these kinds of translucent smoothing primers they just sit on my skin a bit funky.

Bourjois Healthy Mix BB Cream-
I’m pretty sure this is my second tube of this! The coverage and finish of this is very natural and luminous, but it’s so lightweight and effortless to apply. You never have to do a double-take in the mirror.

Loreal Glow Mon Amour Drops-
This is dreamy! You can use this before foundation, mixed in with foundation and the way I use it the most; layered on top of your foundation. I find this way you get more of an intense glow.

Covergirl Trueblend It’s Lit Concealer-
I have such a strange love for these concealers. Like, they are pretty average coverage and a natural finish but I love them! They are so easy to blend I don’t even have to think about it.

Australis Micro Brow Pencil-
Favourite eyebrow pencil at the moment!

Napoleon Perdis Wand-er Brow in “Brunette beauty”-
I’m still trying to figure out how to use tinted brow gels and I’m STRUGGLING?! does anyone have any tips on how to not get it everywhere!

Urban Decay Primer Potion in “Eden”-
I always find myself coming back to this, an oldie but such a goodie! I also use this to carve out my brows and it looks perfect.

Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Volume 4 –

Covergirl Katy Kat Palette –

I used the matte pink from the Makeup For Ever palette all over the eyelid and as a base, then I packed the rosy shimmer from the Katy Kat palette all over the lid! I’m loving this little shimmer palette SO MUCH! I love adding these colours into any makeup look.

Nyx Professional Makeup Contour & Highlight Palette –

Napoleon Perdis Final Fix Setting Spray –
I’m still trying to figure out if I like this because it leaves my skin feeling like a little wet and sticky but it does a good job at helping my foundation to last.

Models Own Setting Powder –
I love this powder SO MUCH! I could never get this into baking until I tried this.

Milani Luminoso Blush –
Who remembers this !!!!!

Australis Bae Watch Mascara –
I bought this whilst trying to suss cruelty-free mascaras and I love it! It’s also a really good brush to use when blending in falsies as you can get right up to the lash line.

Revlon Colorstay 2n1 Kajal – 
This liner is nothing special, I needed to line the lash line and it did the job.

Nyx “Red” Lip Liner –

Bourjois Rouge Velvet in “Red-volution” –
I wanted a Christmas-ey red that wasn’t too loud and this was perfect! It didn’t take away too much attention from the eyes.

That’s it guys!! I did have to rush this one because I wanted it out before Christmas but it’s coming up FAST.
