A View of November: Wilsons Promontory + An Empty Cup

I’ve seen so many posts on Facebook recently stating how most of us have spent close to half the year crying, not even being dramatic. I CAN’T RELATE ANY HARDER HAHA!

Genuinely though, the start of this month was rough for me. I had been in a constant state of stress for like four months and my body had just had enough, so much that I spent about 4 days off work in bed just crying about nothing and everything haha! I’ve started seeing a councillor to reach out and find my way out of this rocky start to my 20’s, and hopefully build some resilience. I also got a REIKI and she mentioned that to say I’m pouring from an empty cup is an understatement, it’s more like an empty bucket!

In the midst of this, my best friend and I decided it would be the perfect time to go on a spontaneous road trip like we used to in the summertime. My parents live in the country about an hour from Wilsons Promontory National Park, we have been there once before but we didn’t have much time to explore ( AND WE SAW EMUS ON THAT TRIP ) so we made the most of it the second time around. I FEEL LIKE you really have to be a hiking person to really get the experience, but we were not in the mood for a hike (not sure if we ever will be). We spent some time climbing rocks at Squeaky beach and went on a short (but still exhausting) walk, that was well worth it!

With all this downtime my friends and I have made a lot of plans for the coming months! New Years we are going to beyond the valley (my first festival!!) and heaps of artists are touring so I’m excited about that! I also had a lot of time to read so some book reviews might be on the horizon!

Grateful for all my friends and family this month.
ALSO, I’m gonna incorporate some of my music FAVS into my monthly summary’s now!

Thanks for reading!
Lily and R.
